Here are 3 reasons you should not ask "What do you bring to the table?"

Here are 3 reasons you should not ask “What do you bring to the table?”: The question can be humorous, particularly if the two of you are already seeing each other.

Here are 3 reasons why you should not ask this question

1. You are supposed to know

You were out and about when you came across a person you found appealing, and you made the decision to pursue a romantic relationship with that person. Why didn’t you consider how much they were really worth? If you do not know, then it shows that you are not good at making decisions.

2. It is an ambiguous question

To begin, exactly which table are we discussing in the first place? What would you like to see brought to this made-up table that we’re sitting around? Everything is up in the air right now. When men say this, most of the time they mean that women do not make financial contributions, and when women hear men say this, they feel that the men do not cater to their financial needs.  However, this could also mean that they are not receiving adequate love, attention, or care.

3. You need to make it clear what it is that you want

You shouldn’t make coy statements like “What do you bring to the table?” if you’re in a relationship where your needs aren’t being met. Instead, you should be honest about it and ask for what you want in the hopes that you’ll get it.
