When it comes to finding that photo, however, things can get a little trickier if you aren’t familiar with the location in question. No matter what your circumstances are, the following instructions will help you save pictures to your Chromebook and locate them later.

How to save a picture on a Chromebook

After you have located the picture that you want to keep on your computer, you can add it to your files in the following manner:

1. Use two fingers to tap the trackpad in order to perform a right-click on the image.

2. Click the “Save image as” button.

3. If you so choose, you can alter both the filename and the location where the image is saved.

4. Select the “Save” option.

After that, a confirmation message stating that the download is finished will appear alongside a miniature preview of the image in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

How to locate a picture that you’ve saved on your Chromebook

1. You will be able to open the image by first selecting “Show in folder” from the preview, and then clicking twice on the photo itself.

2. Alternatively, if the preview has already ended, you can access it through the “Files” folder by clicking the circle in the bottom-left corner of your screen, selecting the up arrow, and then selecting “Files.” This method is applicable if the preview has already ended. It will be saved to the location you specified, or if you did not specify a location, it will be saved to the “Downloads” folder on your computer.
