Orji Uzor Kalu will pay if something happens to Nnamdi Kanu at DSS, his mission is suspicious – IPOB
Biafra’s indigenous people, IPOB, pledged on Saturday to hold Orji Uzir Kalu, head of the Senate whip, accountable if something happens to their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
IPOB regretted that Kalu’s unsolicited visit to Kanu while in detention was concerning, adding that the purpose of his visit was suspicious.
Emma Powerful, a spokeswoman for IPOB said the mission of the former Abia state governor is unknown.
In a statement it issued, Powerful said: “We, the global movement and the family of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) under the command and leadership of our great leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU, are raising the alarm about the unsolicited visit of Orji Uzor Kalu to our leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU whenever our leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU is detained.
“We are not aware of Orji Uzor Kalu’s mission on visits and we are concerned.
“Therefore, we wish to inform the world that Orji Uzor Kalu will be responsible for whatever happens to our detained leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU.
“We are not comfortable with Orji Uzor Kalu’s suspicious visits to our leader. We do not know whose interest it protects. We will also hold accountable those who allowed him to see our leader taken into custody. ”
The separatist group also promised to hold the Department of State Services, DSS, responsible for any damage to Kanu.
IPOB wondered why Kalu would be allowed access to their leader despite the court ruling.
“The DSS allowed him to accede against the court order that all visitors, including Kanu’s lawyers, comply with. We all knew that Orji Uzor Kalu’s name is among those who funded and sponsored the extraordinary performance of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya to Nigeria, ”he added.
