Kwara State Fire Service Director Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa rescued two people involved in a road accident on Friday.

The incident occurred around 7:47 p.m., at CBN Quarter’s Junction, along the Pipeline Area in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.

“I found them helpless on the road with blood gushing from their bodies, then I stopped and took them to Ola-Olu hospital,” Falade revealed.

“No one could approach them because they were all afraid of their conditions, but I did it because the rescue had become part of me,” said the Director.

One of the Newly Skytic Hilux vans purchased by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for the fire department was used to transport the victims to hospital, according to a statement from the fire department’s media chief Hassan Adekunle in Ilorin on Saturday.

The Director urged residents to promote good driving practices in the state and stop wasting lives on the roads.
