Charles Chinekezi received his early education at Asa Road and Asa Triangle Primary School (C.K.C), Aba, Abia State, and continued at Holy Ghost College, Owerri, Imo State. He trained in professional writing and journalism at The Writing School, London, and at the College of Journalism, Fleet Street, London. In 2013 he was conferred the chartered professorship license in management education, practice and training by the Nigerian Institute of Management, attaining the status of Chartered Management Practitioner (C.M.P.) and consultant. He later received the professional title and certification of Chartered Management Professor (C.M.P.), with a specialised focus in media management, from the African American International Research Institute of Development Studies (AAIRID) — a registered, sovereign, charter-licensed postgraduate management training institution certified under the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM No. C.M.O. 042).
Professor Chinekezi has served as a consulting professor to a range of professional institutions, bodies and think tanks. He holds fellowships with the Chartered Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management (FCIPDM), the Institute of Sales Management of Nigeria (FNISM), the Institute of Petroleum Products Marketing Practitioners (FIPPMP), and the American Institute of Management (ECAIM), among others. His academic credentials also include a professional Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.), credentials that complement his work as a crusading journalist and an in-demand public lecturer.
A committed advocate in public health and civic duty, Professor Chinekezi serves as a National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Ambassador in the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) in Nigeria. He has delivered hundreds of lectures at home and abroad. He is also a nationally registered and accredited journalist of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, holding registration number 7686-1992.
