He Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted dust haze across the country from Monday to Wednesday.
The NiMet weather forecast released on Sunday in Abuja forecasts moderate dust haze on Monday with localized visibility of 1,000m expected over the northern region during the forecast period.
According to him, moderate dust haze is expected over the north central and interior states during the forecast period.
“Patches of clouds in a hazy atmosphere are anticipated over the coastal belt with poor prospects for localized thunderstorms in parts of Lagos State during the afternoon and evening hours.
Moderate dust haze is expected over the northern region and north central states on Tuesday throughout the forecast period.
“Moderate dust haze is also expected over the interior state throughout the forecast period.

“Patches of clouds in a hazy atmosphere are expected over the coastal states throughout the forecast period,” it said.
According to NiMet, light dust haze is expected over the northern region during the forecast period on Wednesday.
The agency forecast moderate dust haze over the north central and inland states during the forecast period.
It anticipated patches of clouds in a hazy atmosphere over coastal states during the forecast periods.
“The dust particles are suspended, citizens must take the necessary precautions. People with asthma and other respiratory problems should be careful in the current weather situations.
“Airline operators are advised to update themselves with NiMet weather reports for effective planning of their operations.
“Disaster risk managers, agencies and individuals must be proactive to prevent loss of life and property,” he said. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
