Congress of all progressives Presidential candidate Bola Tinubu has vowed to prioritize employment opportunities for the vast majority of Nigerians who are willing and ready to work, especially the people of Akwa-Ibom State.

Speaking at the Nest of Champion Stadium, Uyo to a large crowd, Mr. Tinubu thanked the people of the state, especially the APC members who voted for him to emerge as the party’s candidate in the 25th of November presidential election. February 2023, saying that the power to become The President resides with the people.

However, the APC presidential candidate told the people of the state and his supporters that they would not get full credit until everyone voted and secured general election victory for all APC candidates in the National Assembly, governorship, the State Assembly and the presidential elections.

“No one gets credit for an incomplete assignment because the assignment isn’t complete until you vote. So, go and get your PVC. This is the revolution to change poverty into prosperity. Unemployment to employment”.

In his prepared speech, which he did not read in its entirety, Tinubu noted that the government’s main purpose is to use the resources at its disposal for the benefit of the people in direct reference to Labor Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, whose only vaunted credential is who saved money while he was Governor of Anambra State. He added that Obi watched his people suffer, while he continued to boast about saving money for the state, which has become his biggest campaign achievement.

He urged Nigerians to outright reject Mr Obi who saved money for the state, while refusing to save the people of Anambra state as state governor.

Also speaking of the People’s Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar, the APC standard-bearer said that Atiku’s only aim in wanting to be president is to be able to sell the nation’s assets to his friends.

He said: “My opponents will say that my vision for Nigeria is too big and too far to achieve. I tell them that their vision is too small and selfish. I want to lead them to a better future where the government works even harder on their behalf to improve their daily lives.

“My opponents want to take you back in time to a point where you, the citizens, work and toil so that you can get rich day by day while you get nothing. I want to lead you down the path of progressive governance that leads to a more prosperous economy, as well as lasting security and peace for all.

“This election will decide whether you believe that you and the rest of the nation are entitled to the good things that only a progressive, compassionate and accountable government can provide or whether you want to give up your future to someone like the PDP’s Mr. Privatize or Peter the Stingy. .

“A man wants to sell off all of Nigeria’s public assets and its future, so that only he and his tight-knit club of conspirators can enjoy the meat of the land. While Mr. Stingy wants to do for the nation what he did to Anambra. He let people suffer while he kept and hid his own money and basic necessities from him. He refused to save people in order to save money.

“I tell you that everything the government has is not to hide it from you, but to use it wisely for your benefit. This is the highest purpose of government. Only this will usher in a better tomorrow. Anything less will chain us to failure.”
