
A Lagos-based family has posted N2 million as a reward for information on the whereabouts of a thief who robbed their house on Lagos Island, a statement revealed.
According to the statement signed by Leke Adebanjo on behalf of the family, the thief broke into their residence on March 20.
In the video seen by this reporter, the suspect, a man, jumped into his residence, which appeared to be empty.
In another video, a CCTV camera caught him with a bag in the kitchen. On his way out, he drank from a bottle.
“The person in the video is wanted with a generous reward of two million naira for anyone who provides useful information that may lead to his arrest,” the statement read.
“The person in the above video (excerpt or CCTV) robbed a house in a high-end area on Lagos Island where he stole some valuables including a large sum of cash on March 20, 2022.”
Mr. Adebanjo said they reported the matter to the police and it is being investigated.
“Although the video is amateurish, it is believed that anyone who knows it will definitely be able to associate the appearance with the real person,” he continued.
