The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 27-year-old man, Ibrahim Sikiru, for killing his biological father.
According to Sunday, the deceased, Mumuni Ibrahim, a night security guard came to his house and found his son still sleeping, and when he asked why he was still sleeping at that time of day, the suspect got upset and took out a machete. , whereupon he struck the victim with machetes in five different places.
Following the report, Onipanu Division Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Bamidele Job, quickly mobilized his men and moved to the scene, where the suspect was arrested and the victim was rushed to General Hospital for treatment.
Police said Sikiru, suspected of belonging to a cult, had no reasonable explanation for his action when questioned.
