Police in Cross River State have warned those attempting to cause a second Protest #Endsars desist from it or be prepared to face the full wrath of the law.
Police spokeswoman in the state, Irene Ugbo, gave the warning in Calabar on Friday while speaking to reporters.
Ms. Ugbo said that the police would ensure the utmost professionalism from officers in carrying out their duties.
She said that the command has received several reports pointing to the incitement of youth in the state to participate in a second protest against the police.
The spokesman said that the police would not sit idly by and watch the thugs take a second advantage of people.
“There was a distress call from the MCC crossing a few days ago and a tactical unit responded immediately.
“Some young people were questioned in the process and the matter was amicably resolved after questioning.
“We want to use this medium to warn those who want to use this pathway as an opportunity to hold a second #EndSars protest to be warned.
“We are on alert, anyone caught will face the full wrath of the law. We are also aware that law-abiding citizens have rights and must be protected. Therefore, we implore anyone who feels their rights have been violated to come to our office accordingly.
