The death toll from Sunday’s attack on communities in the Giwa local government area of Kaduna state has risen to 38.

Kaduna State Internal Security and Internal Affairs Commissioner Samuel Aruwan issued a second statement on Sunday confirming the increase in the death toll. confirmed to the Kaduna state government that 38 people died in the attacked places, ”Aruwan said.

Kaduna is one of the northwestern states hardest hit by banditry, where terrorist groups kill and kidnap residents at will.
