Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has lamented the presence of security officers in the southeast despite the rising rate of kidnappings on highways across the country.
The actress, sharing a video of an alleged kidnapping by bandits on her Instagram page, lamented the worsening kidnapping rate of Nigerians in the country.
According to her, security officers who are supposed to be on the roads protecting Nigerians are fighting the ‘Biafran’ in the southeast where there is no problem.
Reacting, the actress wrote: “Insecurity on all roads and nobody is fighting them except the insecurities that are supposed to be on the roads looking for these kidnappers in the Southeast where there is no problem oh, fighting them in the name of looking for biafrans. Too!”
NEWSLODGE recalls that some passengers were recently kidnapped by bandits along the Abuja-Kaduna highway.
