The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and the Minister of State for Labor and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeochahave met in Abuja for undisclosed reasons.
This was contained in a statement in Abuja on Friday by Mrs Onyejeocha’s Chief Press Secretary, Gabriel Emameh.
He said although the purpose of the meeting was not revealed, it was believed to be related to how to move the All Progressives Congress (APC) forward.

He added that the reason for the meeting could also be related to what the minister recently described as a smear campaign by miscreants who wanted to launch it against the APC.
Emameh said the meeting would come a few days after a faceless group believed to have been sponsored by some politicians launched a media campaign against the minister.

“Onyejeocha had said that he would not be distracted by some guy who was planning to cause a leadership crisis in the House of Representatives.
“This was just a few days after the National Assembly Electoral Petitions Tribunal, sitting at Umuahia, Abia, declared her the rightful winner of the Isiukwato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency election.”
Emameh recalled that both Abbas and Onyejeocha, a former deputy leader of the House of Representatives, remained some of the longest-serving lawmakers in the chamber.
