The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, will inaugurate the resurfacing and rehabilitation of 135 roads on September 11 as part of efforts to improve road infrastructure in the territory.
This was made known by the Director of Press in the Minister’s Office, Anthony Ogunleye, in a statement in Abuja on Saturday.
Ogunleye explained that the projects, which would be implemented in Garki, Wuse, Gwarimpa and Maitama districts, would also include major bridge repair works.

“The groundbreaking ceremony, which will take place along Ladoke Akintola Boulevard, Garki II, Abuja, will be the minister’s first major infrastructure development project.
“The minister has expressed his determination to ensure rapid infrastructural development of the national capital,” he said.
Wike, a former governor of Rivers State, took over as FCT minister three weeks ago.
