The candidate of the Congress of all progressives (APC), Bola Tinubu, won the presidential election in the Lagos Island Local Government Area of ​​Lagos State.

According to the results announced at the Lagos State Match Center, Mr. Tinubu won a total of 27,760 votes from 19 districts to win the local government election.

While Labor Party (LP) candidate Peter Obi came in second with 3,058 votes, Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party followed with 2,521.

The results show that only 34,989 voters were accredited out of the total 200,048 registered voters on the island of Lagos. He noted that they registered 1,052 rejected votes out of a total of 33,886 valid votes.

The legislator representing the Federal District of Lagos Island II, Kayode Akiolu, who is running for a second term, won on the APC platform with 14,061 votes. He was followed by the PPD candidate, Rabiu Fashina, who got 2,457 votes. Daniel Oladipo of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) came a distant third with 361 votes.

Delay at the Lagos Quotation Center

The commercial capital of Nigeria is experiencing delays in the compilation of the results of the presidential and national assembly elections on February 25.

As of 1:00 pm on Sunday, no results from any of the 20 local government areas in Lagos State had reached the State Matching Center in Yaba, Lagos.
