Newcastle United kept their Champions League hopes alive with a thrilling 4-3 win over Nottingham Forest at St. James’ Park.

Callum Hudson-Odoi stunned the home crowd with an early opener, taking advantage of Nick Pope’s poor positioning.

However, the Magpies responded in devastating fashion, netting four times in just 11 minutes.

Lewis Miley kickstarted the comeback in the 23rd minute before Jacob Murphy and a brace from Alexander Isak put Newcastle in control at 4-1 before halftime.

Forest, though, refused to go down without a fight. Nikola Milenkovic pulled one back early in the second half, setting up a tense finish.

The visitors nearly completed the comeback but fell just short, allowing Newcastle to secure three vital points in their top-four chase.
