Nigerian football legend Austine Jay Jay Okocha has expressed delight over Alex Iwobi’s impressive form at Fulham this season.
Iwobi has emerged as a key player for Marco Silva’s side, contributing seven goals and three assists in what has been his most prolific Premier League campaign since debuting for Arsenal a decade ago.
Speaking on Lagos Talks FM, Okocha, who is Iwobi’s uncle, said, “I am very happy with him and his progress.”
The 28-year-old midfielder has been ever-present for Fulham, featuring in all 22 of their Premier League games this season.
Fulham has had a relatively good campaign so far, with their recent win coming against Leicester City on Saturday.
The result leaves them 10th in the league table.
