The Aba-Made-Film Project has concluded scripting and adoption of the much touted Made-in-Aba film tagged “Chronicles of Enyimnba“. The “Chronicles of Enyimnba” which was first conceived about four years ago, has in the last nine months been in script development pre-production. After the script conference which engaged some thorough-bred professionals, the finished work was adopted as a working document for the film project.

The “Chronicles of Enyimnba” aims to tell a comprehensive story on the development of Aba, the Enyimnba city located in the southeast of Nigeria and known for innovation, trade, commerce, industry – in small and large scale production spanning nearly one hundred and fifty years.

“The team has held series of meetings, getting things ready over the years. From scripting to other necessary works. Thanks be to God that finally, we’re done with the pre-production stage and are now awaiting the commencement of production, which will start immediately after the flag-off, by our Brand Ambassador, Governor Alex Otti” Comrade Francis Ifekanda declared.

“We’re ready and now await the signal from the Governor, who since 2022, has become the face of this project. The research done for this project was a thorough one. The story is all about the complete story, evolution, metamorphosis and development of Aba, the Enyimba City highlighting the pre-colonial, colonial and post-colonial eras.

“So, this project is taking off, but the Governor will now be the person to decide the official flag-off. So, the team of promoters are here today to inform you that we’re ready and good to go.”

A member of the team Prof. Charles Chinekezi further explained that Aba film project aims to nurture a training institute to raise young talents in the movie making and acting profession opening up the vista of opportunities for many who may have the desire and talent in movie making but have not had the opportunity to exhibit such talent. He also highlighted the promise of Abia state Governor Dr. Alex Otti to establish a film village in the state, motivated by the making of the film “Chronicles of Enyimnba“.
