President Bola Tinubu says the federal and sub-national governments of Nigeria have a mutual responsibility to ensure peace and stability in the country.
During a meeting with the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) at his Lagos residence on Tuesday, the President reiterated his condemnation of the latest killings in Plateau State.
Addressing the governors, the President issued a stern directive to security agencies to stop the carnage in Plateau State and intensify the manhunt for those responsible for the recent tragic events in Bokkos and Barkin Local Government Areas. I gave it.
Expressing his condolences for the victims, President Tinubu emphasized the sanctity of human life and called for a paradigm shift among those with contrary beliefs, warning them of the inevitable consequences of their actions.
“Nigeria needs peace and stability to move forward. Nigeria belongs to all of us and we have to take care of it,” she stated.
President Tinubu acknowledged the presence of Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State at the meeting and commended him for his efforts in peacefully resolving political challenges in the state.

“I want us to throw out federal, state or rural road classifications. We must consider development as a joint responsibility. Let’s prioritize our children. The school feeding program must return quickly, starting from local government to state and federal government.
“We must be prepared to protect our children and prepare them for the future,” the president said.

Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has expressed solidarity with the government and people of Plateau State.
“May God be with the souls of the departed and bring peace to Plateau State. The Governor of Plateau State, we are with you; stay strong,” the NGF president said.
Governor AbdulRazaq reaffirmed the support of state governments for the bold decisions and reforms initiated by the administration of President Tinubu.
“These are difficult times. It’s not a walk in the park. The elimination of fuel subsidies had a great structural effect on the states’ economies. But we are confident that we will overcome these challenges and recover better,” he stated.
