The Ogun State Governor Election Petition Tribunal has confirmed the election of Governor Dapo Abiodun of the Congress of all progressives (APC).
The three-person tribunal headed by Hamidu Kunaza dismissed the petition filed by Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as incompetent.
In the judgment read over more than 12 hours, the court upheld Mr. Abiodun’s election, while dismissing Mr. Adebutu’s petition.

In a unanimous ruling, the court considered that “the petition is unfounded and is dismissed.”
