The State Security Service (SSS) in Ogun State has detained the suspended Chairman of the Ijebu East Local Government Area, Wale Adedayo. His arrest is believed to be due to his outburst over the governor’s alleged embezzlement of local government funds. Dapo Abiodun in the last two years.

Newslodge reported how Adedayo accused the governor of withholding local government funds for the past two years.

Adedayo was at the SSS headquarters in Abeokuta on Friday to honor the service’s invitation on the alleged “zero allocation” to state local governments.

He was also at the Abeokuta SSS office on Thursday for the same matter, but was not detained at the time.

One of his aides, who came with him to the door of the security service on Friday, informed our correspondent that the suspended president could spend the night or even the weekend in secret service custody, where he was still being held for 08:34. p.m. on Friday.

“We got here together, I took his phone and stood outside, since then he hasn’t been allowed out,” said the aide, who asked not to be named for security reasons.

“After arriving at the scene, the governor also entered the DSS office and left after more than 30 minutes. God only knows what is happening to my boss right now, please help us.

“It’s 8:34 pm and they still haven’t let him out.”
