The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sanihas established a committee to determine the status of all ongoing projects throughout the state.

This was contained in a statement by the governor’s press officer, Mohammed Shehu, on Monday.

According to the statement, the committee will review all the projects that have not yet been launched, awarded by the administration of former governor Nasir El-Rufai.

“This is in line with the government’s commitment to quickly complete all priority projects.

The committee, among other things,

1. Determine the status of all ongoing projects throughout the state.

2. Get the details of the contractual agreements/obligations.

3. Find out about the financing agreements and commitments of the parties.

4. Find out the completion time of the projects.

5. Arrive at specific recommendations for each project.

The committee has four weeks from its inaugural meeting to present its report.

Committee members are:

to. Sabiu Sani, Special Advisor, Investments and Promotion – President

b. Abdullahi B. Ahmed, Special Advisor, Project Monitoring, Implementation and Delivery of Results – Member

C. Mustapha Musa, Special Counsel, Legal – Member

Uba Sani succeeded El-Rufai in a hotly contested gubernatorial election in March 2023.
