Why Dr. Alex Otti Will Be Governor In 2023

For months now, the argument in the public domain in Abia State and the entire South Eastern States of Nigeria has been who will emerge the next governor of God’s Own State, after the general elections of 2023.  The conversation continually throws up the name and admirable profile of Dr. Alex Otti, the retired but not tired banking and international finance heavyweight whose well grounded academic and professional training in economics stands out on a completely different pedestal in a political race where so many untested persons and other discredited people without character and dept are all masquerading as contestants.

Now that all Abians and other Nigerians are duly informed that Dr. Otti is genuinely in the present race full throttle for the Abia State government house come May 29 2023, it becomes important for all well-meaning Abians and residents in all cities of God’s Own State to rise to the challenge of a truly last fight to reclaim their destinies from the hands of mere adventurers without a clue of the new development direction of the twenty-first century world  as it concern the Nigerian present state affairs.

The fact that Dr. Otti’s telephones ring ceaselessly these days as friends, confidants, well-wishers and politicians hook up with him for the challenges of the race ahead testifies the man’s unbending resolve to serve Abia State as Chief Executive and Nigeria further from his wealth of experience and exposure. The man’s greatest asset besides every other thing is his great bank of goodwill which he enjoys in Abia State, Nigeria and internationally.

As Dr. Alex Otti’s train gathers momentum into this new political revolution nationally known as the ‘OBIdient Movement/ Ottification of Abia State,’ analysts, journalists and opinion leaders have taken time to listen to the man and his economic development agenda which smirks of  general public appeal and approval.

For example, Dr. Otti is aware that his lifestyle earlier as a private citizen will significantly change, even though it is not going to be too different from what he has experienced in the last thirty-five years of his professional career in high voltage international banking, finance, management, marketing, forecasting and policy planning. The Labour Party Governorship candidate for Abia State believes in making himself available for public service since to him, it doesn’t hurt. It benefits you due to the wisdom you gather, the good you bequeath to others and the corresponding services they offer you. Even though he is a private person, he enjoys being in the midst of people since the desire to serve the public remains innate in his natural feelings. Dr. Otti sees nothing unusual because his profession has already thrust him into public life and he has coped all through these years.

As a citizen who holds some strong views on many issues, the Labour Party governorship candidate has intense feelings about Abia State and Nigeria generally and also harbours no fear in expressing these views forming the basis of his involvement in this much discussed political race.

With the level of Dr. Otti’s professional success in life, many lesser mortals will prefer to retire into a cocoon and enjoy themselves for the rest of their lives but not himself who strongly believes that he has so much more to offer this society as professional success is never all that is there to life when you can as well be able to influence the course of public discourse and governance in your state and country as a whole and contribute to the Nigeria of our dreams.

All indicators also prove that Dr. Alex Otti believes immensely in the modern political policy of generational shift of power whereby young people are positioned to climb into important political positions of authority. This is most visibly expressed in his choice of a deputy in the person of  a thirty-eight years old youthful engineer, Ikechukwu Emetu from Ohafia in Abia North Senetorial district who has equally touched many lives by organizing skills acquisition and scholarship programs in the state, in readiness to adjusting the backward scenario that seem determined to continue recycling visionless persons or group of people on the seat of power in the state,making a complete nonsense of the collective aspirations of development-minded people of the state. A strong expression of the wisdom and dictum that the youth must take back their destinies instead of submitting themselves to the rudderless leadership of so many old deadwoods that must be replaced, with the injection of young new blood since youths are probably more in touch of vibrant ideas that emanates from verve and enthusiasm because of the ability of the young to positively learn from the older generation of leaders.

This feeling does not mean that experienced elders who have remained positively useful to our aspirations will not participate centrally in Dr. Otti’s administration as such calibre of persons will definitely occupy a  pride of place in the new order where their best ideas and principles will be fully harvested to the overall benefits of the state.

With Dr. Otti in Abia State Government House in Umuahia alongside his national and international contacts and circle of brilliant scholars, intellectuals and professionals in every imaginable areas of our needs, the state will never be passed over again in important decisions of economic development  concerning the sighting of industries, institutions and creating new ones by the federal government and international agencies and foreign investors and businesses.

Now that Abia State is at the threshold of its breakthrough with the emergence and enthronement of Dr. Alex Otti in its drivers seat, all is set to create a new narrative in the affairs of the state as it mark a peculiar dawn to a new direction in the life of God’s Own State and its occupants and residents alike.

Truth be told, the various statistical researches conducted by various poll groups and pollsters confirm Dr. Otti as the candidate who holds most promise in the up-coming Abia guber election come the first quarter of year 2023 and all indicators predict that he is adequately prepared for the race and attendant challenges of winning an election of that magnitude having won same in 2015 but was robbed at the tribunal.

Having done a lifetime job in high-wire world of banking and economic policy management, leaving in his wake, thousands of  successful business enterprises and developments that stands testimony to his credit as readily available in the society (as these businesses belong to  citizens of this country), this brilliant technocrat (who started out with a first-class bachelor’s degree in economics) before proceeding to postgraduate studies that capped up with a doctoral degree including post-doctoral business school education at Harvard University Boston U.S.A cannot be said to be not extra and super ready for the challenges ahead.

The die is cast and the ball is in our respective courts all at the time as this is Abia’s finest hour which must be used to the optimum by massively voting Dr. Otti into power in Abia State.
