dana air has said its Abuja-bound Boeing 737 aircraft with registration mark 5N DNA experienced an emergency landing at Abuja International Airport on Tuesday due to a suspected engine problem.

In a statement released by the airline, Dana Air management said all 100 passengers on board disembarked safely and the aircraft has been grounded for immediate attention by our engineering team.

“Our Abuja-bound Boeing 737 aircraft with registration number (5N DNA) embarked on an emergency landing today, July 19, 2022, due to an indication in one of its engines,” the statement read. airline.

He said the pilot of the aircraft briefed the passengers about the incident and landed the aircraft safely at Abuja International Airport at around 2:52 p.m.

“The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has also been informed about the incident,” it added.

The latest incident occurs two months after the tires of one of the aircraft operated by the airline caught fire at Port Harcourt airport on May 2, ending a scheduled trip to Lagos that day.
