The candidate of the Labor Party (LP)in the ongoing gubernatorial elections in Osun state, Yusuf Lasunhas denied reports that he has given up on PDP gubernatorial candidate Ademola Adeleke.

“They are sick, they are sick, once again they are sick, they are crazy people,” he said after casting his vote at the voting unit in the Irepodun local government area of ​​the state.

Lasun, a former vice president of the House of Representatives, is one of 15 candidates in the election. One of the candidates is the current governor, Gboyega Oyetola, who flies the flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In the early hours of Saturday, online reports claimed that Lasun had withdrawn from the gubernatorial race and endorsed Adeleke.

The gubernatorial candidate arrived at Voting Unit 04, District 05 around 10:10 am.

He said that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), an electronic device to read the PVC, should be improved, since it took him 10 minutes to vote.

Lasun, who said he has been voting since 1979, noted that the voting unit is “very peaceful.”
