Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has assigned portfolios to two new commissioners who have been sworn in this Wednesday.

The commissioners are Akinwumi Sowore and Jacob Ologbese.

Mr. Sowore was assigned to the Ministry of Local Government and Chief Affairs, while Mr. Ologbese would oversee the Ministry of Regional Integration and Diaspora.

Similarly, Governor Akeredolu redeployed three commissioners to different ministries.

Akeredolu said the redeployment was aimed at improving governance and deploying talent to revitalize certain sectors.

Former Regional Integration and Diaspora Commissioner Bamidele Ademola-Olateju was reassigned to the Ministry of Information and Guidance, while former Physical and Urban Development Commissioner Fatai Aburumaku was reassigned to the Ministry of Water and Sanitation.

Yetunde Adeyanju, former Water and Sanitation Commissioner, was reassigned to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.

Governor Akeredolu charged the new and reassigned commissioners to work in accordance with his government’s ‘Single Administration’ mantra and urged them to do their best in carrying out their duties.
