Abia Central Senatorial District candidate under the Youth Progressive Party, YPP, Chief Chuku Wachuku, has charged voters especially women and youth to vote out leader’s responsible for expanding poverty in the country.
Chief Chuku Wachuku who is positioning himself to clinch the senatorial seat in the upcoming 2023 general elections berated the rulling class for discouraging the youths from participating in active politics to determine their destinies.
In a signed statement with the caption “Dashed Hope, the youth must rise up and make a difference”, chief Wachuku noted that the ‘not too young to rule’ movement initiated by the youths has lost steam having not achieved much to promote young people in active partisan politics in the country.
The YPP candidate accused the youths of abandoning the not too young to rule movement, identifying with political parties without sincere clearcut programmes for youths and women ahead of the upcoming elections.
While charging the youths to reject recycled leaders, chief Wachuku strongly urged them to seize their future in their hands not allowing their conscience and votes to be exchanged for a cheap plate of porridge like the Biblical Esau. ‘The youths must reject the status quo’ Wachuku insists!
“Every four years, Nigerians and especially Youths, are presented with a unique opportunity to make a change in their lives; each time they postpone it” the statement made available to newsmen on Sunday read’s in part!
Wachuku implored the people to try new candidates with fresh ideas in leadership positions come 2023 and see the difference. He admonished them to register massively to vote out all those who have enriched themselves and kept the citizens impoverished.
Campaigning on the slogan ‘Power To The Next Generation’ Chief Chuku Wachuku of the Youth Progressive Party YPP, concluded by stressing that nothing will change unless the youths and women rise up to create the future they desire.
