Taking part in the tournament, which takes place in the indoor sports hall of the Kwara State Stadium, is Government Day Secondary School (GDSS), Adeta; Government Day Secondary School (GDSS), Ogidi; Ansarul Islam College, Ogidi; Adeta Government High School; Apata Ajele Secondary School, Asa; Erinle High School; Mandate Secondary School and Unilorin Secondary School.
Revealing the competition schedule yesterday, organizing committee member Dare Kuti recognized all those who partnered for the success of the competition and said that without their support, the program would not have been possible.
“I want to thank everyone who made this program possible because without this partnership, I don’t think this competition would have gotten off the ground.
“Organizing any sporting event, especially one that is not football, can be difficult, but we are happy that this is finally taking place despite various obstacles that we faced,” he said.
He praised stakeholders including the Kwara Sports Commission, the Kwara Volleyball Association and the Kwara State Volleyball referees and the media for their contributions to the tournament.
The contest, which started yesterday, will end tomorrow and the winners will get various prizes.
