Former Lagos State Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential hopeful Bola Tinubu submitted his expression of interest and nomination forms for president.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu and his Osun counterpart Gboyega Oyetola submitted the forms on behalf of Mr. Tinubu.
Last month, a group acquired the N100 million forms for the former governor, who was performing minor Hajj in Mecca at the time.
House Finance Committee Chairman James Faleke led the groups that acquired the forms last month.
Faleke was later rewarded with an automatic ticket back to racing in the Ikeja federal constituency, after buying N100 million for Tinubu.
The legislator announced the automatic ticket on his Twitter page a few days ago.
“He (Tinubu) asked me how many people have collected forms in the constituency and I told him. Little did I know that he was going to announce an automatic ticket for me today. I want to thank all my supporters who have done so much and prepared for the primaries.
Tinubu, 70, who is reportedly facing a health problem, will also battle some close allies for the APC candidacy in the party’s primary elections scheduled for later this month.
Some of them are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole, former Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.
