Six die in second car accident on Lagos-Ibadan highway on Wednesday

Six people were killed and another was injured in another car accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Wednesday.

The Kara turning point accident came just hours after a Toyota Hiace bus caught fire, killing four people and injuring 13 others in the Fidiwo area of ​​Ogunmakin on the expressway.

Federal Highway Safety Corps spokeswoman Florence Okpe said the latest accident involved a Toyota Previa marked LRG 165 AA.

Ms Okpe said eight people were involved in the accident, adding that it was caused by excessive speed and loss of control which led to the vehicle hitting the median of the road.

She said the injured victim was taken to Redeemed Hospital for treatment, while the deceased were taken to a hospital in Sagamu, Ogun. (YAYA)
