The Inspector General of PoliceUsman Alkali, has confirmed the appointment of Olumuyiwa Adejobi as Substantive Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Police Force.
The statement announcing the confirmation was signed by Public Relations Unit Administrative Officer Anjuguri Manzah on Tuesday.
Mr. Adejobi completely replaces Frank Mba, who took a course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Plateau State.
Prior to his confirmation, Mr. Adejobi was the interim force PRO since Mr. Mba’s departure in February.
He graduated with combined honors in Archeology and Geography from the University of Ibadan. She also has a master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the same University.

IGP CONFIRMS APPOINTMENT OF CSP OLUMUYIWA ADEJOBI AS 25TH PRO INDIGENOUS FORCE
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, fdc, has confirmed the appointment of CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, mnipr, mipra, as the 25th Public Relations Officer of the Indigenous Force. CSP Adejobi was appointed in an interim capacity on February 16, 2022 after replacing CP Frank Mba, who was nominated by the Inspector General of Police for the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru , Jos .
CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi studied Archeology and Geography (combined honours) from the Premier University of Nigeria, University of Ibadan. She has a master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the same University. He had a long term as Police Public Relations Officer in Ogun State Police Command from 2008 to 2016. He also served as PPRO Zone 2 Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, in 2016 and PPRO, Police Command Lagos State Police between September 2020 and August 2021, when he was appointed to replace former PRO Force, CP Frank Mba. CSP Adejobi has carved out a niche for himself in Police Public Relations Management with the experience he has gained serving as PPRO in different Police Commands and Zones for more than a decade.
He also served as Operations Officer, OC Anti Bank Robbery and Anti Pipeline Vandalization, Sagamu Division from 2006 to 2008; Administrative Officer, Operations Department, Police Headquarters, Ogun State in 2008; Operations Officer, Operations Department, Ikeja Lakes State Command in 2017; Management Staff, Ikeja Police College; and as Personal Assistant to the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Operations Department, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
He is a member of several professional bodies and associations, including: Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR); International Public Relations Association (IPRA); Point Man Leadership Institute, USA; International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), USA; Society for the Studies and Practice of Peace (SPSP); Nigerian Children’s Brigade; and the Institute of Corporate Administration, Nigeria.
