More than half of the victims, 142, were killed in Plateau state by as-yet-unidentified gunmen. Besides Plateau, other states that witnessed mass killings include Ebonyi (26) and Benue (23).
Among the victims are also four police officers.
Before the last count, the highest number this year was recorded in the first three weeks of 2022, when at least 486 people died.

Every geopolitical zone in the country registered at least one fatal incident last week, except for the South-South geopolitical zone which did not register any.
