
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has appointed Yetunde Baderinwa as the new Lagos State Coordinator after the posting of its previous Coordinator to the National Directorate Headquarters.
The Nigerian News Agency (NAN) reports that Ms. Baderinwa, a native of Ile-Oluji in the Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, succeeds Eddy Megwa.
According to a statement from Joyce Madaki, Deputy Director, Press and Public Officer for NYSC, Lagos, the new State Coordinator resumed post-handover on April 8, as the 22nd State Coordinator for NYSC, Lagos.
Ms. Madaki added that the 1992 Ondo State University Religious Studies graduate, Ado Ekiti (now Ekiti State University), has a BA (Hons), a Master of Public Administration (MPA) and International Labor Relations ( MILR), from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
He noted that Ms. Baderinwa, who joined the Public Service in 1994 and began her career with the NYSC, has several other certificates in Human Resource Administration and Management.
“The official handover took place on Friday and the new coordinator, Ms. Baderinwa, will resume her work on Monday 11 April, as will Mr. Megwa in Abuja.
“He held various positions within the NYSC in both administrative and management cadres, serving in Anambra, Kwara, Oyo States and at the National Directorate Headquarters, Abuja,” he added.
NAN also reports that Mr. Megwa is the new Director of Press and Public Relations, NYSC National Directorate Headquarters, Abuja.
