Terrorists attacked a train bound for Kaduna in northern Nigeria on Monday night.

The train left Abuja, the Nigerian capital, at around 6:00 pm and was on its way to Kaduna when it came under fire between the Katari and Rijana communities.

The terrorists, also known as bandits in Nigeria, planted explosives on the train tracks and immobilized them before shooting at passengers who tried to open the doors.

transport minister, Rotimi Amaechi, an inspection visit to the scene of the incident on Tuesday. He hinted that the attack on the Kaduna-bound train could have been prevented.
