Kano State Governor Abdullahi Gantuve on Tuesday approved the dismissal from service of four state Bureau of Land Management staff for corruption.
The governor said the official was accused of selling public property, falsifying documents, issuing false cadastral information and falsifying official records.
A statement signed by State Information Commissioner Muhammad Garba named the sacked officials as Abdulmuminu Usman Magami, Senior Assistant Surveyor at Salary Level 06, and Abdullahi Nuhu-Idris, Senior Land Officer at Salary Level 10.
The others are Audu Abba-Aliyu, press assistant at salary level 05 and Baba Audu, deputy director of land at salary level 13.

Garba said the officials were fired on the recommendation of an investigative committee set up by the government, following complaints filed against them, and found guilty of the offences.
He said his dismissal was in accordance with Civil Service Rule No. 04406, adding that the decision was to deter others.
The commissioner warned that the state government “will not tolerate any misconduct by any public servant.”
“Therefore, all government employees are expected to carry out their responsibilities honestly, diligently, effectively, and in accordance with civil service rules and regulations.”
