The Joint Board of Admissions and Matriculation (JAMB) has announced that registration for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation and Direct Entry Examination (UTME/DE) will begin on February 12 and last until March 19, 2022.

JAMB has also added ‘Computer Science’ and ‘Health and Physical Education’ to the existing 23 UTME subjects, bringing the number of the new subjects available to 25.

The testing body said candidates can now choose two other subjects as part of their four UTME subjects if they wish or as dictated by their program preferences.

Rejects NABTEB At Levels

Meanwhile, JAMB admissions director Mohammed Ahmed has written to university vice-chancellors, asking them to reject A-level results from the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).

Mr. Ahmed said that the relevant government policies do not allow NABTEB to conduct advanced level exams.

As stated in the latest weekly bulletin of the Board published on Monday, Mr. Ahmed said: “Therefore, any GCE A/L certificate issued by NABTEB cannot be registered in JAMB and the Board would not process the admission of any candidate. with such a result. ”
