
Jigawa State Police arrested a man for allegedly killing his alleged lover’s husband.
Abdullahi Sale, 22, allegedly killed Muhammad Tukur, also 22, after the latter accused him of having an affair with his wife.
State police spokesman Lawan Adam, who disclosed this in a statement, said the incident occurred in Rabadan village in the Birnin Kudu local government area of Jigawa state.
He said that Tukur had confronted Sale about the alleged affair and warned him to stay away from his wife. In the fight that followed, Mr. Sale injured the aggrieved husband with a match that he had taken from him.

Tukur died on January 7 at Federal Medical Center at Birnin Kudu where he had been taken for treatment for his injuries, the police spokesman said.
Adam added that the state police commissioner, Sale Tafida, ordered a thorough investigation of the matter by the criminal investigation department at the command headquarters in Dutse.
