Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari said that no person accused of corruption can be blamed, even if they join his party, APC.
Buhari said this in an interview on the NTA broadcast Thursday and monitored by PREMIUM TIMES.
Many Nigerians believe that opposition politicians accused of corruption or prosecuted for corruption join the APC to avoid punishment. Some politicians accused of corruption who have joined the ruling party include former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode and Senator Stella Oduah.
Buhari, however, said joining APC does not absolve anyone accused of corruption of the crime.
