
Umar said on the occasion that Buhari deserved to be appointed district head considering the development advances brought to the emirate by his father.
He added that in his new role he will visit Daura regularly and participate in the daily routines of the emirate council, contributing his quota for its development.
The emir praised President Buhari for the positive impact his administration was having on rejuvenating the nation’s infrastructure and for its economic diversification.
The Daura Emirate Council recently appointed President Buhari’s nephew, Musa Haro, as the district head of the ancestral city of Dumurkol in Buhari.
Yusuf Buhari’s turban was attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila.
Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari, Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika were also present.
Also in attendance were the Emir of Bichi in Kano State, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero, the former Governor of Borno, Sheriff Ali Modu and members of the Legislative Assembly of Katsina State.
