Bandit attacks: Buhari sends security chiefs to Sokoto, Katsina
President Muhammadu Buhari sent a high-level security delegation to Sokoto and Katsina states in response to the recent increase in bandit activities.

Malam Garba Shehu, the president’s chief special assistant on media and publicity, confirmed this fact in a statement Thursday in Abuja, saying the delegation is made up of the heads of the nation’s intelligence and security services.

According to the presidential advisor, the president awaits an immediate situation report and recommendations on the actions to be followed to effectively confront the worrying situation.

He said that the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, the Director General of DSS, Yusuf Bichi, the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Amb. Ahmed Rufa’i, and the Chief of Defense Intelligence, Major General. Samuel Adebay, are also in the delegation, led by the retired Major General, National Security Advisor. Babagana Monguno.
