Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Aviation Minister, has denied reports that agents from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, arrested him on Tuesday.
Remember Newslodge reported that Fani Kayode was arrested for alleged tampering and forgery.
EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren confirmed to Newslodge that he had indeed been arrested but did not give details.
But Fani-Kayode on his Twitter page said he was only invited by the commission and has since been granted bail.
He wrote: “I just arrived at the George Hotel for dinner. I was never arrested by the EFCC. They invited me and I flew to Lagos to see them. I arrived at his office at 2:00 pm and left at 8:30 pm
“I was released on bail for self-examination. They were very polite and professional. Thanks god.”
