Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Aminato Diallo has been arrested in connection with a premeditated assault on teammate by suspected armed men, the club said on Wednesday.
Sources revealed that the France female football international was arrested on Wednesday morning following an incident that happened last week involving fellow international Kheira Hamraoui in what was said to be over playing time in the team.
In a tale that looks like what you only see in movies, Hamraoui was said to be in Diallo’s car after they all returned from a club and armed men enveloped her the moment she dropped from the car and hit her on the leg for about two minutes before escaping.
Club statement: “Paris Saint-Germain acknowledges that Aminata Diallo was remanded in police custody this morning by the Versailles SRPJ as part of the proceedings initiated following an assault last Thursday evening against the club’s players.
“Paris Saint-Germain condemns in the strongest possible terms the violence committed. Since the evening of Thursday, Nov. 4, the club has taken all the necessary measures to guarantee the health, well-being and safety of its players.
“PSG is working closely with the Versailles SRPJ to shed light on the facts. The club is paying close attention to the progress of the proceedings and will study what action to take.”
Just to put it into context, Diallo is a fine footballer and would get her chance in the team, investigations are still ongoing but word on the street insists Diallo set her teammate up for evil to enhance her chances of being the preferred starter. Weird to say the least.
