NOW THAT THE TRUTH IS CLEAR IN ABIA STATE-BY CHARLES CHINEKEZI

The truest fact of our immediate circumstance as Nigerians is that our country is now at the threshold of making history in its more than 62 years of nationhood which began on October I, 1960. Our Country Nigeria which suffered serial brutalities from a spate of insensitive leadership from both soldiers and civilians today stands a chance of conducting what will easily stand out as its most historic general election of all times, in its entire existence as a sovereign entity.

For the very first time, a radically reformed electoral act aimed at totally stamping out election rigging have been signed into existence to wipe out our past culture of highly fraudulent election and electioneering processes which continued to usher in candidates who never won any contests as winners at all strata of our political structures and the resultant consequences of empowering crooks who continued to build criminal power-blocks and kingdoms for themselves and their cronies.

The current nationwide acceptability of the Labour Party presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi and the equally bulldozing Obedient Movement sweeping across all communities of Nigeria generally brings to the fore, the equally amazing emergence of Dr. Alex Otti as the governorship flag bearer of the same unstoppable Labour Party Campaign train in Abia State of Nigeria.

The general elections which comes up in a few weeks from now has presented our people the much awaited great opportunity to choose their most preferred candidate and political party in order to unfasten the shackles of economic and political servitude that has continued to suck our blood and cut short our life expectancy. A package provided us by past and present administrations in Nigeria generally and Abia State in particular. But the desire of the larger population of our people is that this man-made poverty and pain must stop.

This is the reason why Dr. Alex Otti who has been robbed of his governorship victory in Abia State in year 2015 general elections has re-emerged to reclaim the people’s mandate in order to set God’s own state on a path of prosperity and general economic development.

Dr. Otti who is visibly the most acceptable of all the contestants in Abia State has continued to garner support from every corner of the state and beyond since his emergence as the candidate of the Labour Party.

This scenario is not surprising to the generality of the people as this highly trained and successful professional technocrat who has demonstrated great abilities and capacity in his past official positions in banking and investment management has outlined basic most important priorities in the first one year of his administration as the governor of God’s own State, Abia.

They include:

  • Proper retirement and compensation of civil servants unjustifiably sacked from Abia State Civil Service in the past eleven years by the government in power then.
  • The immediate total clearing of the backlog of salaries of civil servants in the state including pensions and other benefits of all retired public officers.
  • Compensation of victims of unlawful demolition of houses and other properties in Aba by the present government of the state.
  • Immediate and automatic reconstruction of demolished parts of Ariaria International Market and Ngwa Road (Ahia Ohuru) market to stop the continued suffering of our traders and business people who have been denied their right to decent living due to losing their earning power caused by the present government in the state.
  • Working out a generous and befitting service provision (Financial Allowances) for all village heads and traditional rulers who are currently treated very poorly in all autonomous communities of Abia State.
  • Immediate and unconditional commencement of the  construction of vital roads that determine the ease of living and doing business in Aba such as;
  • The Omuma Road Around Ama Pope
  • Obohia Road  Around Bonsak Bread towards Nnentu Ngwa
  • Ohanku Road from Umuosi down to Owerri  Aba
  • Port Harcourt Road from Uratta Road towards National High School Aba.
  • Immediate re-establishment of dead major industries like Aba Textile Mills, International Glass Industry etc. including the start-up of new heavy industries in manufacturing and other enterprises for a production economy about to open up for all.
  •         However, these few cases are basic preparation to a full scale launching of a digital economy that naturally stamps out touting, thuggery and other fraudulent activities which will usher in a new era of unprecedented prosperity for all Abians and other Nigerians who transact with Abia at all levels.
  •          This means that government ministries and departments becomes computerized while the justice department and courts get digitized and upgraded to latest world standards.

Dr Otti has also made it categorically clear that our schools at all levels will be ICT enhanced and emphasized for our young and upcoming generations to be technology compliant which will reduce poverty to its barest minimum percentages at all indexes.

But even then this is just the beginning of so much great economic and political strides and milestones to be achieved in this dawn of a new era. Abia State and all of us as a people cannot get any bargain better than this offer from a tested and certified character like Dr. Alex Chioma Otti. That is the reason why we all must rise up early on election day, 11th March 2023, troop out in droves with our P.V.Cs to queue up and vote for the Labour Party at its ballot column which is recognizable by the picture of a family made of father, mother and child also known as papa, mama and pikin.Dr. Alex Chioma Otti is the answer to our dream of a new Abia which will be the pride of not just the south eastern part of the country but the entire Nigerian nation.

God bless you and your family as you do this.
