german club outfit Borussia Dortmund will tour the legends of Ghana this summer, in association with Shooting Stars, as stated on the club’s official Twitter account on Thursday.
The black and yellow as nicknamed declared that: “Ghana to the whole world! ??

The event is scheduled to begin June 8-12, 2022 with other community service activities.
According to information shared by the club, Dortmund is collaborating with the Shooting Stars club from the Ashanti region, with whom they signed a pact in 2021 to host the event in Accra, Ghana.
The football event will also see former Black Stars players and Dortmund legends of Ghanaian descent.
Those of one of the best African footballers of all time, the former champion of the Champions League, the very same teacher Abedi Ayew Pele; Borussia Dortmund top talent coach and Black Stars coach Otto Addo.
There are also former Wolfsburg captain Charles K. Akonnor and former BVB Champions League winner Ibrahim Tanko.
There will be other African legends such as Jay-Jay Okocha, Samuel Osei Kuffour, Stephen Appiah, Asamoah Gyan and a host of other iconic African soccer names also appearing at the soccer event.
“The visit, from June 8 to 12, will include training clinics, CSR activities and a golf tournament.
The tour will culminate in the match of legends with iconic African footballers like Asamoah Gyan, Abedi Ayew Pele, Stephen Appiah and many more! ⚽️”
According to Dortmund co-general manager Carsten Carmer, “Over the past decades, BVB has enjoyed a vibrant and fruitful history with top talent from Africa and has attracted a number of excellent African players.
“We are all excited that this first tour of BVB Legends Ghana is finally taking place!”
Benedikt Scholz, Director of Internationalization and Commercial Partnerships at BVB, added: “As we develop our presence in Africa, it is very important for us to show how close our relationship is with our fans in Ghana.
“This tour gives us an excellent opportunity to show what ‘Echte Liebe’ really means.
“Together with the powerful line-up of our Legend Team, our main international sponsor Evonik, as well as ROWE, the presenter of the BVB Legends series, we will continue to create success on and off the pitch.”
Shooting Stars CEO Randolph Rodrigues said the partnership would create good results for soccer in the country.

“There is a huge focus on player and coach development and we will be embarking on some significant community development projects together in the coming months.”
