In a groundbreaking ceremony brimming with symbolism, Governor Otti set in motion the rebirth of the structure as the Enyimba-Radisson Hotel. In partnership with the global hospitality giant Radisson Blu, the Abia State Government is delivering a 120-room, five-star facility complemented by a world-class convention centre, all within the next 12 months. This is not merely a hotel; it is a strategic economic catalyst, designed to beam a message of credibility across the globe, attracting investors, international conferences, and tourism traffic into the heart of Abia.
The vision is long-term and ambitious. Projections show that within 18 months of opening, demand will justify an expansion, ultimately growing the hub to 250 rooms over the next four years. The Senior Director for Development for Radisson Blu in Africa affirmed this potential, characterising the project as a strong signal that Abia is ready for credible global partnerships.
