Permanent Sec. loses son due to domestic accident

The Permanent Secretary and the Secretary of the Police Service Commission (PSC), William Alo, has lost his 10-year-old son, Mathew, in a domestic accident that occurred at his residence in Abakaliki. A statement by Ikechukwu Ani, PSC’s Head of Press and Public Relations on Saturday in Abuja, said that the boy who died on January 9, was buried on Saturday.

“The late Mathew was as full of life as ever on January 9th and was around the complex helping his parents entertain visitors until the tragedy struck between 5pm and 6pm.

“He was involved in a domestic accident and fell into the cold hands of death,” he said.

He said Mathew was buried amid uncontrollable tears among family and supporters.

Ani said PSC president Musiliu Smith described the death and the way it came about as devastating and said it had left a hole in the family.
