The latest development followed an appeal by parents from all Chrisland school units who visited the Ministry of Education on Monday to seek understanding from the government for “the good of more than 500 students, some of whom also have final exams.” .
However, state Education Commissioner Folashade Adefisayo said in a letter to school management on Monday that the government has considered reopening the school only for students in “terminal classes, i.e. JSS 3 and SS 3 so they can prepare.” for your upcoming exams.”

While parents in all Chrisland School units across the country under the auspices of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) sympathized and admitted that the forensic investigation was ongoing, they continued to appeal to the government to consider other School students.
The parents said in their letter that the other children excluded from school because of the unfortunate incident “are suffering from mental anguish and trauma from losing a fellow student.”

Meanwhile, the government revealed on Friday that a case of manslaughter and reckless and negligent acts has been established against the Chrisland School, some staff members and a vendor over the death of the student.
The government said it was ready to charge the suspects with offenses contrary to Sections 224 and 251 of the Criminal Law, Lagos State Laws, 2015.
