The Nigerian Super Eagles they will compete for a place in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals when they take on Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles on Sunday night.
The ‘Battle of the Eagles’ will take place at the Roumde Adjia Stadium, Garoua, where Nigeria played their previous three group stage matches and won all convincingly.
Nigeria and Tunisia have met on five different occasions at AFCON, with the Super Eagles winning all but one of these previous meetings.
Despite the North Africans being ranked six places above Nigeria in the latest FIFA rankings, coach Augustine Eguavoen’s men are seen as the favorites for this round of 16 tie.
With no chance of correcting any mistakes or slips, an explosive matchup between the Super Eagles and the Eagles of Carthage is expected.
