Nigerian oil magnate and founder of Zenon Petroleum and Gas limited, Femi Otedola, has given N2 million to the Abdulwaheeds who gave birth to quadruplets after their fourth child.
This is happening just two weeks after PREMIUM TIMES reported that the couple residing in Gwako, a suburb of the Gwagwalada area of Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, were barely able to feed their family of six before the quadruplets were born. .
This was in addition to losing his home and wife’s grocery store to a flood incident that occurred in mid-2020.
Hassan Zakari, owner of the specialist hospital in El-Hussain, Dakwa, Dei-Dei had decided to help the couple and house the mother until she gave birth to her children. Currently, the hospital is still treating them.
Premium Times learned that Zenon Petroleum and Gas CEO Kanmi Otaru visited the hospital on the orders of its director, Mr. Otedola, to learn more about the situation.
On Friday, Mr. Otaru returned and presented a check for N2 million to the couple at the hospital.
A video sent by Mr. Zakari, quoted Mr. Otaru as saying: “My president, Mr. Femi Otedola has been very magnanimous. He said that he should bring a bank draft of N2 million expressly for the children, in order to support and take care of them.

Reacting to the gesture, the quadruplets’ father in a telephone interview told PREMIUM TIMES that he was surprised to learn of the initial visit from the Zenon official.
“I thank God for everything because I did not expect this. God can do anything, ”he said.
The president of the hospital, Mr. Zakari, also expressed his satisfaction that he was able to save the family even after they were initially rejected by a university hospital.
“I didn’t care about their tribe or religion and where they came from. The good thing about this is that, where the university hospital cannot help them, I went in and it was a success, “he said.
In addition, he promised to take care of the quadruplets until they are six months old.
